A video of a young man with Asperger’s enjoying the rave scene is reminiscent of the ’90s Ben Folds Five song, “Underground.”

Bradley Gunn, a self-professed raver, has found immersing himself in dance culture is a great way to forget about a lot of things, Asperger’s included.

“I have Asperger’s, so when I started raving, there was no mention of the Asperger’s at all.”

“And I knew because of the dancing side of it, there was this acceptance to be who you want to be. I knew that I could be crazy and express myself without people making assumptions, “Oh, you must be autistic or anything.”

Bradley holds a day job like everyone else, but on the weekends, it is time to get loose.

One shock he encountered was the presence of illicit substances that sometimes accompanies these movements. He continues to shock back with his sober presentations. A great idea to live by as these substances are sometimes used by people with disorders as self-medication, putting them at-risk for a whole host of other problems.

You can hear Bradley’s store here.

Now, in the spirit of the’90s, let’s all sing this mosh pit theme song together:

We can be happy, we can be happy, we can be happy
Underground

We can, we can, we can be
Everything’s Heavy
(Underground) You been kicked around
(Underground) Did life bring you down here
Everything’s heavy underground

We can, we can, we can be
(Everything’s happy underground)
