Trump Signs 5-Year Autism Cares Act

Four more years? How about five!

President of the United States Donald Trump has signed the Autism Cares Act, an initiative that promises 1.8 billion dollars in resources towards autism research, services and treatment.

What it is:

The Autism Cares Act of 2019, a bill co-sponsored by representatives Mike Doyle and Chris Smith.

What it does:

Provides 1.8 billion dollars in funding for five years of autism programs affiliated with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the National Institutes of Health and Health Resources and Services Administration. Areas include:

–research

–early detection and treatment

–children and adults

What Representatives Doyle and Smith Say (via Twitter):
