There are many famous cats out there. Morris. Sheba. Grumpy Cat. Keyboard Cat. Is Asperger Whisperer Cat the next media hit?

A kitty who has comforted a boy during grief has been named Cat of the Year by British charity for cats, Cats Protection.

Jeffree, a cuddly black cat from Coventry, was awarded during a ceremony for the organization. This cat is special because he provided an incredible boost after the passing of 14-year-old Finn Hackeson’s parent.

Finn’s mother, Gayle Atkins said that after he received the gift of an animal friend:

“He could smile again… his outlook completely changed.”

“I hope that through his story more people will see what an incredible support cats can be for both children and adults with autism.”

Companion animals have been shown to benefit many on the spectrum and it’s touching that Jeffree the cat is now recognized for his ability to be a great cat to all.

There is no news as to whether there are any advertisements or spokescat positions in the future. Don’t even think he has his own YouTube channel. But that’s okay, because his FURever friendship he’s formed with Finn is the equivalent to a million followers.
