While it’s true that many Aspergers struggle with athletic skills, especially those in a team-like setting, it’s been advised that many of them try solo sports like martial arts, jogging or golfing to enhance physical skills and gain confidence. This often comes easier than sports involving team interaction, which requires reading more social cues from other people.

American Ninja Warrior Brian Burke demonstrated excellent solo sport skills during his top 10 finish in the obstacle course where he “beat that wall!” His solo sport since childhood? Gymnastics!
